Blackcurrant Sorbet
Black currant sorbet: deep, tart and full of flavor.
Black currant puree gives this sorbet an intense color and a bold, slightly tart flavor. In the UK and northern Europe, it’s one of the favorite fruits for juices and jams. A good pick when you like flavors that are less sweet and more bold.

Story
Blackcurrants are especially popular in the UK. During World War II the government encouraged growing them as a source of vitamin C, and blackcurrant syrup was given out to children. In the US, growing them was restricted for a long time because the bushes spread a disease of pine trees.
