Gianduja

Story

Gianduja was born in Turin in the early 19th century, when Napoleon's Continental Blockade made cocoa hard to get. Piedmontese chocolate makers stretched their chocolate with ground hazelnuts, which the region had plenty of. The name comes from Gianduja, a character from the Turin carnival.
