Tiramisù

Espresso, mascarpone and cocoa: tiramisù as ice cream.

Strong espresso meets creamy mascarpone, and cocoa adds a slightly bitter touch at the end. The name of this Italian dessert means roughly “pick me up,” and it’s hard to argue with that. Coffee and dessert in one spoonful.

gellatti matches the recipe to the gram to your machine and serving temperature, using ingredients available where you live.

Origin

Italy (Veneto)

Story

Tiramisù is most often credited to the Le Beccherie restaurant in Treviso, where it was served from the late 1960s. The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region also claims it. In the Venetian dialect, the name means pick me up.
