Kesar Pista Kulfi
Thick, milky kulfi with pistachios, saffron and a note of cardamom.
Kesar is Hindi for saffron, and pista means pistachios, so the name gives away what’s inside right away. Kulfi is a traditional Indian frozen dessert, thicker and denser than regular ice cream. Saffron gives a golden color, cardamom a fresh aroma, and pistachios a mild nuttiness.

Story
Kulfi is a traditional frozen dessert from the Indian subcontinent, known since the Mughal era. The milk is slowly reduced and the mix isn’t churned like ice cream, so kulfi is dense and firm. Kesar means saffron and pista means pistachio.
